Part 1 looks at the often-forgotten Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor, which, though "most appropriate for use in small organizations, although it can be used in larger organizations if you want to get a general idea of the types of issues that might be uncovered during more comprehensive testing." Part 2 looks expressly at app-compatibility testing for larger organizations, with a focus on tools like the Application Compatibility Toolkit. Posey walks you through ACT operation step by step. In short, it's a great guide for IT managers who want to look (and act) before they leap. Be sure to give this a read before pulling the trigger on Windows 7. |
