Mark your calendars, IT peeps! One week from today, the good folks at Dell are hosting a live "water cooler chat" with a pair of Windows migration experts.

On Tuesday, July 20, at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT, hit the above link for a live online Q&A session with Paul Thurrott (of SuperSite for Windows fame) and Dell End User Computing Solutions Architect Phil Dakas.

This "open mic" session (meaning attendees will be able to join the chat, not just watch it unfurl) will address the challenges companies face in migrating to Windows 7, such as hardware and application readiness, deployment of the new OS, and XP end-of-life issues. It's intended for professionals from companies with at least 500 employees.

Fifty attendees will be selected at random to receive a free copy of Paul Thurrott's book, "Windows 7 Secrets."
