Let's close out 2009 not with a discussion of servers or operating systems, but with a nifty little hack that mobile users should find helpful--especially during holiday weeks like this one when they're working from home.

In this video, a user shows how placing his USB broadband modem into an ordinary cooking pot--yes, cooking pot--can vastly improve wireless connectivity. Take a look:

Neat, huh? Needless to say, you might need a USB extension cable if you typically plug your modem directly into your laptop or netbook, but that's a $3.50 item from online stores like Meritline.
